A few examples of cities that use DNA to improve pet waste management

In Capri (Italy), a war against dog waste has been launched. The police will now be in charge of tracking dog droppings. To do so, the mayor of this island decided to call experts. They will be in charge of collecting the DNA of all dogs in order to find the owners of dogs that leave the waste in the streets. (04/19/2011)
